A very bright, spacious, and rustic feel to this cafe. It is not easy to find but we were prompted by an old man who knew exactly what we were looking for without us asking and pointed us to the correct alley. The alley looks deserted but all Saigon's hidden gems are hidden this way. Inside the cafe, you can't help to feel so welcomed by the warm lights and aromatic coffee. The place seems to design for digital nomads with almost every 2 out 3 tables are customers who are working on their laptop. They have a range of coffee to choose from, with different beans and different style. I also ordered a tiramisu to pair with my coffee. Both the drinks and the dessert were not bad.

The Workshop Coffee - Cafe in Ho Chi Minh City
Đánh Giá
The Workshop is one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most well-known specialty coffee shops, tucked away in an old building on Ngo Duc Ke Street. Finding the entrance can be a little confusing the first time, but once you’re inside, you’re greeted by a spacious industrial-style café with high ceilings, large windows, and a relaxing atmosphere. The coffee is clearly the highlight here. They offer a wide selection of beans and brewing methods, and the baristas are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I tried a pour-over, and it was smooth, aromatic, and full of flavor. It’s definitely a great place for anyone who appreciates high-quality coffee. The café has a calm and stylish vibe, although it’s more of a destination for enjoying a carefully crafted cup than a place to spend the whole day working. If you’re a coffee lover visiting Ho Chi Minh City, The Workshop is absolutely worth experiencing at least once.
Tried this highly rated cafe. Can't really comment much about food because we only had the plain croissants, which were fantastic still. The honeycomb structure inside was amazing, very buttery and went really well with the jam. Coffee wise we had a simple pour-over as well as an oat latte. Barista let us have a sniff of the beans to be used before proceeding to do the pour-over in front of us. Really liked the whole process of sitting at the counter and watching the cup of coffee come together. Inside was kinda chaotic? Not the messy chaotic but the loud chaotic, probably because the high ceilings created a really strong echo and the crowd was just talking over one another. Cafe entrance CAN BE a little difficult to spot.
Why are you hiding the entrance to your coffee shop? The Workshop on Ngo Duc Ke Street is a District 1 institution, known for its soaring cathedral ceilings, massive central coffee bar, and industrial-loft ambiance. It serves premium pour-overs, and the clarified espresso was a great experience — definitely a place for coffee enthusiasts. That said, it's not somewhere I'd come to work on my laptop or visit on a daily basis. Well worth a visit, though.
Atmosphere is good. If you enjoy various kind of brewing techniques, it is a good place. I ordered espresso, coffee mocktail, pour over. Pour over ok but not out of average too much. Espresso really good. For the food, good breakfast but again not impressive. Price is high so expect more from the coffee and food
