A visit to Agra Mahal offers a rather pleasant introduction to North Indian cuisine in the heart of District 7. Tucked away in the Phú Mỹ Hưng area, the restaurant presents itself as a modest yet welcoming space. While not overly lavish, the setting is comfortable and well-suited for relaxed dining, allowing the food to take centre stage. On this occasion, the meal began with a selection of appetisers: chicken tikka, mutton achari kebabs, and both vegetable and mutton samosas. The chicken tikka was tender and well-marinated, carrying a gentle smokiness from the tandoor. The mutton achari kebabs, infused with pickling spices, offered a sharper, more distinctive flavour profile—perhaps not for everyone, but certainly memorable. The samosas, crisp on the outside and generously filled, provided a satisfying start. The highlight of the meal, however, was the mutton biryani. Fragrant and well-layered, the rice was delicately spiced and accompanied by pieces of mutton that were cooked until tender. It struck a commendable balance—flavourful without being overpowering. Service throughout was attentive and courteous, with staff readily available without being intrusive. The overall experience remained unpretentious yet enjoyable. In terms of value, the restaurant positions itself quite fairly. Given that mutton and halal-certified ingredients can be relatively expensive to source in Vietnam, the pricing feels reasonable and justified. In conclusion, while Agra Mahal may not aim for fine dining sophistication, it succeeds in delivering authentic flavours and a dependable dining experience. For those in District 7 seeking hearty Indian fare, it is certainly worth a visit.

The food was good overall. Not the best indian I had but it was enjoyable. We tried many dishes. Butter chicken is my favorite. The staff was nice. I would recommend not having the A/C so cold.
This is an amazing spot in D7! They have a variety of Indian food and it is halal, the taste is amazing. Getting the authentic Indian flavors in all their dishes, I tried a variety of fried rice and noodles. If you stop by you must try one of their Chai, either Ginger Chai or Masala Chai (Tea) absolutely amazing and flavorful. The staff and the owner is very friendly too.
5 stars without a doubt! The food here is packed with flavor. We ordered the Chicken Curry Butter and the Garlic Cheese Naan, and both were outstanding. The curry was rich and the naan was the perfect cheesy, garlicky companion. I could not finished all the food and look how they wrap the food to take away, that's so careful, I really like it. The owners are also some of the nicest people—so welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic and delicious Indian food.
