If I could give 100 stars I would. The staff were all incredible! So friendly and helpful with everything. The food was amazing! The fire show with the wagyu was the nicest surprise and the whole dinner was just perfection. If you want an incredible night of food, wine and relaxing atmosphere, look no further.

On my recent visit, I wanted to see how HCMC delivers a true high-end, fine dining experience. I was looking for something exceptional near my hotel and chose Cloud Nine, located on the 11th floor of the La Siesta Hotel. Knowing via Google that it is an LGBTQ+-friendly establishment completely sealed the deal for me, perfectly reflecting the young, progressive, and welcoming vibe I discovered throughout this vibrant city. From start to finish, the attention to detail here is world-class. I opted for "The Elegance" set menu, and the presentation and pacing were spectacular. The culinary journey began with a delightful Salsa Chicken Tartlet starter, followed by a beautifully prepared Bacon-Wrapped Seabass and a rich, velvety Creamy Truffle Mushroom soup. The absolute highlight of the night, however, was the main course: the Premium Australian Tenderloin. It was prepared tableside with incredible showmanship by my server, Bao. He is an absolute professional—exceptionally trained, attentive, and passionate about his craft. (Sadly, my video only started recording after his performance, but the memory of it definitely stuck!) The top-tier hospitality didn't stop there; the manager, Tin, also personally stopped by my table to ensure every single detail of the evening was flawless. While I’ve seen a few reviews online mentioning smaller portion sizes, I found the multi-course progression to be incredibly satiating due to the rich, complex layers of flavor in every single dish. Make no mistake, Cloud Nine is a premium, high-end establishment and not a budget option—nor should it be. The level of execution, atmosphere, and service is elite. In fact, I have easily paid triple the price for a comparable dining experience in major food cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco. For the sheer quality of food, ambiance, and care you receive, Cloud Nine delivers phenomenal value. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Dishes like the Aussie Tenderloin Beef Rossini and the Seared Norwegian Salmon are enjoyable and correctly prepared, yet they lack the distinctive “wow” factor or creative flair one might expect at this price point and prestige. Overall, Cloud Nine is a premier choice for those prioritizing a superior vibe and professional service. While the food is solid and dependable, it serves more as a secondary accompaniment to the stunning surroundings rather than a standalone culinary destination.
We had a wonderful experience at Cloud Nine while celebrating a friend’s birthday. The team went above and beyond by decorating our table and making the celebration feel special. Main Courses: I had the striploin, which was cooked to perfection, served with creamy mashed potatoes and a rich, flavorful red wine sauce. My partner opted for the truffle pasta, which was incredibly fragrant and indulgent. Desserts: We finished on a high note with a decadent chocolate mousse and a classic crème brûlée. Both were beautifully presented (as you can see in the photos!) and tasted as good as they looked. The Experience: We were lucky enough to be seated right by the window, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Saigon skyline. Watching the city lights while enjoying such high-quality service made the night feel incredibly special. The staff was attentive and professional, ensuring that "service" wasn't just a word, but a priority. Verdict: If you are looking for a romantic spot in Ho Chi Minh City that combines high-end Western cuisine with an unbeatable atmosphere, this is it. The heart-shaped decorations and the attention to detail for Valentine’s Day were the cherry on top. Overall: A perfect evening. We will definitely be back!
