Beautiful, quiet, magical, calm and restful. Wonderful atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. Excellent place for couples looking for a secret hideout. We sat outdoors until the outdoor fairy lights came on for 5 hours.

They offered a variety of coffee. The atmosphere was pleasant with a little bit of noise from people chatting. The greenery was astonishing, I can’t imagine having a coffee right under the hot sun in hcm. Wifi signal was good. I can see many digital nomad working focally with their laptops. Highly recommended for people who enjoy hot sun and strong wifi.

📍 ʙᴇᴀɴᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ᴄᴀꜰᴇ - ʜᴏ ʜᴀᴏ ʜᴏɴ | Multiple branches - I really wanted to like it. I’ve had such good experiences at their other branch over the past few months that I walked in already half in love with the idea of this place, especially since I’d actually been invited to come by for a coffee here. I was told this branch would be an even better experience, so my expectations were quietly sky‑high before I even stepped through the door. When I arrived, the cafe was absolutely packed. Inside, outside, every corner busy and buzzing. The music inside was so loud that people had to raise their voices just to talk, which instantly killed any hope of a calm coffee moment or getting a bit of work done. I don’t mind a lively space, but this felt more like a bar energy than a slow café morning, and it was hard to relax or enjoy the setting the way I’d hoped to. The part that really lost me, though, was the waiting. From walking in to finally getting my drink, it took 47 minutes and when it arrived, it was in a paper cup, which is apparently normal for this branch but is a huge pet peeve of mine when I’m dining in. I didn’t say anything, but a few minutes later they suddenly asked if I wanted it in a glass instead; I said yes (which I now regret), and that meant another 20 minutes waiting for a new drink. By the time it arrived, any excitement I had for this visit had pretty much faded. I still have a soft spot for their other branch and the experiences I’ve had there, but this visit to Hồ Hảo Hớn left me with really mixed feelings. One bad experience does ruin the brand for me. I was debating whether I should even post about it but this isn't the first bad review I'll leave, and won't be the last. One of the reasons why I dislike accepting official invitations.

☕️ What You Should Know Before Going 📍 Space & Atmosphere • The café looks great on pictures with greenery, wood accents, and rustic design, and many reviews praise aesthetic corners and garden space that lend to photo ops. • But in reality it feels smaller and tighter than expected, especially inside, and can feel choked or crowded when busy. Your experience of the space not being as open as in photos matches what some visitors also note. • Beanthere can be praised as a calm, green nook in the city — but this depends a lot on when you go (daytime vs evening, peak hours vs quiet moments). ☕️ Drinks & Menu • Many guests say drink quality is decent, with coffee, tea, smoothies, and some brunch-style food available — although food offerings are limited and some items may run out early. • A few reviewers complain that drinks and menu items they wanted were not available or that portions and creativity don’t fully match the décor investment. • Prices are moderate to slightly high for Saigon, especially if you’re comparing to simpler, local cafés. 👩‍💼 Service & Workflow • Many visitors note that staff can be friendly and attentive — helpful with recommendations and accommodating espresso styles — while others mention slower or inconsistent service at busy times. • Service involving ordering directly at the counter can feel less smooth for diners who expected table service. ⚠️ Other Points Commonly Mentioned • The café is very popular and can get busy, especially weekends and evenings — leading to long waits or items running out early. • Despite being a “green oasis” on paper, some reviews on local platforms rate the experience only average on service and food, giving scores around ~6-7/10 overall. ⸻ 👍 Pros • Aesthetic, green interior that looks good for photos and casual hangouts • Great location tucked in a quiet alley near central Saigon • Drinks are generally good, and space is laptop-friendly with outlets (according to several reviewers) 👎 Cons • Smaller and less airy than photos suggest • Many menu items run out early, especially evenings • Mixed service quality and wait times • Drinks and food not always worth the price for some visitors • Can feel busy or cramped if crowded ⸻ 🧠 Summary Beanthere can be a nice stop if you’re looking for a pretty café with a garden vibe and good coffee/tea; it’s often Instagram-worthy and central. But be prepared: the space is not as open as advertised, service and food availability vary, and prices are moderate without always matching expectations. If you’re going specifically for a relaxing sit-down or a full meal, it might not live up to the pretty photos — but if you’re there for coffee, ambience, and photos, it’s still worth a shot at quieter times.
