My favorite French food place in Saigon, I’ve been coming here for over 15 years. Great food, casual relaxing vibe in the garden, reasonable price. A gem right in the heart of Saigon.

Dinner at Le Jardin felt like stepping briefly out of the chaos of Saigon into a quiet little pocket of calm. The garden setting, warm lighting and understated elegance made the evening feel intimate without trying too hard. The food was thoughtful and beautifully paced — refined French influences with a touch of comfort rather than formality. Every dish arrived balanced and well considered, allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves. What stood out most was not excess, but restraint. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere carried that rare quality where conversations naturally slow down and the night stretches a little longer than planned. One of those dinners that reminds you good restaurants are not only about food, but about creating a mood you quietly want to return to.

We walked past Le Jardin last night as they were about to shut the gate and we’re happy we booked a table for tonight’s dining adventure in Saigon/HCMC As we waited for our first course, the familiar aromas of the French cuisine filled the courtyard (where the dining tables are located). Nothing surpasses alfresco! I’ll skip the entrees. We ordered a hot French goat cheese salad and the roast beef to share (we are not big eaters and always share our food). It was gorgeous. Both dishes were superb. The roast was silky soft, delicious and perfectly cooked; the accompanying buttery mash potato was sinful. Now for coffee, Crème Brûlée and crème caramel to top it up. If there is something to make the experience completed satisfying,, I wish the service wat a tad bit more friendly and attentive, Make sure you book your table before hand.

Chance upon this cozy French restaurant in HCMC. The food is great, love the cheese platter, beef cheek and escargot. Unfortunately I could not get an Alfresco seat without advance booking the indoor experience is not to my liking. Recommend to dine here when in HCMC.

Was it exceptional? No. Was it good? Average. Food Onion soup- Hmm, a bit salty for my taste. And it tastes like the bouillon cubes, exactly that. Steaks- The steaks we got were quite bland. The 400k one was tender but the other was quite tough. The sauces were ok. Not too flavorful and again, the main flavor is the bouillon cubes. Profiteroles - this was rather disappointing. The most expensive dessert on the menu and it tastes like the cheap choux pastry that you get in the convenient store. The best one we have tastes so far were from Cocotte. Staff - waitress: woman of few words, really thought I was in Paris for a moment. Didn’t seem to care to answer to advise clients on the food - parking: after the disappointing dinner, we had to pay for parking which is 10k. Which is the same amount that I left for them.. which think again I should have take those 😬 Great atmosphere tho, when sitting outside. We enjoyed it.
