Chicken rice is my best choice as always. Stable standard and active staffs. 8/10.

The food was a scam. The steak is no Australian steak as labeled. It’s a piece of meat folded in half to make it look like filet mignon. Onion soup straight hot water, bread built like stone

L’Étoile is a bit hidden in an alley, giving it a low-key vibe, but it’s surprisingly very busy with a diverse crowd of diners. One plus point is that parking in front of the restaurant is free, which is quite convenient. The food is definitely the highlight. The roasted chicken is flavorful and well-seasoned, adjusted nicely to suit Vietnamese taste preferences. Overall, the pricing is reasonable compared to other French restaurants, making it a good value for the quality offered. One minor downside is that there’s no clear way to quickly call the staff (no call button or similar), which can be slightly inconvenient during peak hours. However, the staff are still attentive when taking orders and the service is fairly quick. Overall, it’s a great spot for casual French dining, and I would recommend it if you’re looking for good food at a reasonable price.

Our family recently celebrated a birthday at this restaurant, and it turned out to be such a beautiful and heartwarming experience. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere brought us back to the feeling of a small French countryside restaurant — warm, intimate, and full of charm. It almost felt like being transported elsewhere, only without the crisp, cool air of Europe. The food was prepared with care, adapted slightly for Vietnamese tastes, yet it still carried the soul of timeless European flavors. Every dish evoked a sense of nostalgia, reminding us of old memories and the essence of Western cuisine that once flourished in old Saigon. It wasn’t just about eating — it was about reliving moments of childhood, of family gatherings, of stories passed down through generations. What touched us most was not only the flavors on the plate, but also the way the whole experience brought us together as a family. It felt meaningful, almost poetic, and made the birthday celebration truly unforgettable. If you are looking for a place that combines delicious food, heartfelt ambiance, and a touch of nostalgia, this restaurant is definitely worth visiting

The food was delicious and just right for dinner. Every dish we ordered had a unique flavor. Service was quick, gentle, and attentive. There’s parking space for motorbikes, and the cozy atmosphere is perfect for 2–4 people or a family of six. Quiet and charming. I’ll definitely come back.
