Nấm - Vegetarian Bistro - Vegetarian restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

A little cute vegetarian restaurant tucked away in an even smaller (and narrow) alleyway on Dinh Cong Trang street. The ambience was nice and cozy (although the spacing between each table felt a bit tight). We got the 249k Buffet package (discounted to 189k thanks to Techcombank's vouchers) and was pretty satisfied with the food. Some of our favorites were the crispy taro & mushroom salad, the pan-fired oyster mushroom and the steamed brown rice with shiitake mushroom. The drinks were just okay in our opinions. The other thing we believe could be improved is the service. While our servers were helpful, we noticed sometimes there wasn't any staff members around (we sat on the 2nd floor), hence we had to come down and gave our order at the bar. And maybe the female staff at said bar wasn't exactly friendly (bad day maybe?). Overall, we had a rather pleasant experience and would come back to try out their other dishes not on the buffet menu.

We stumbled upon this vegetarian restaurant because we live nearby, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. We were so impressed after our first visit that we came back again shortly after—and it was just as good the second time. The food here is exceptional. As someone who isn't strictly vegetarian, I was genuinely amazed by how flavorful and satisfying every dish was. It's hard to believe vegetarian food can taste this good. The standout dish for us was the Nam Fried Rice. It had that unmistakable wok hei—the smoky, charred aroma that makes great fried rice so addictive. We also loved the Sweet and Sour Mushroom, which was perfectly balanced and packed with flavor, and the Potato and Cheese dish, which was rich, comforting, and incredibly delicious. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. This is the kind of place that completely changes your perception of vegetarian food. If we lived any closer, we could happily eat here every day. Highly recommended—we'll definitely be back.

Happy birthday, NấM! A lovely restaurant with cute stuff. Its theme is our childhood of the 1980s. Friendly staff. Nice menu. Prices are ok. Small portions.

This very cozy little vegetarian restaurant has a string focus on mushrooms as the name implies. It oozes charm, with a few inside seats and a couple tables outside. I found the dishes to be a little salty but overall very good. Service seemed to disappear quite often but were helpful and friendly when we flagged them down. Very limited space for motorbike parking available on the alley.
