MANMARU OSAKA RESTAURANT 1 - Izakaya restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I came quite late and the last order was at 11 PM, but the staff still kindly helped me with my order. Really appreciate it ❣️ The food was pretty decent — not super wow, but still tasty. Overall, I’d still come back again.

One of the go to for Japanese set lunch. Their special at 159k vnd. Probably one of the only remaining smoking restaurants. Full of locals during lunch.

Not as good as the reviews says. The unagi was not fresh and had fishy smell and taste. The nigiri were poorly made. It was very crowded and loud, which is nice for a drinking with friends. But food is below average. There are much better places.

Manmaru Osaka was very crowded during our visit, which shows its popularity. Prices are affordable and reasonable for Japanese food in the city. However, the overall taste was quite average. The sashimi, in particular, was disappointing and not very fresh. It’s a decent place if you’re looking for budget-friendly Japanese food, but not ideal if food quality is your top priority.

We had a good meal with friends. Prices are okay. It's fun to see many people enjoying the food too. The only thing is that the food is seasoned with flavor enhancer prominent in their sautéed dishes and hotpot. Sushi, we only had salmon tartare and it was great that we ordered another one.
