The sushi was decent but didn’t really stand out. Service was quite slow, likely due to the restaurant being understaffed during our visit. I also tried the chawanmushi with foie gras, but unfortunately the foie gras was quite dry. Overall, an average experience; there’s definitely room for improvement.

I've been to Hokaido a few times but walked past this place and wanted to give it a try. Saturday night, I was ok waiting for a table and they sat me in 10-15 minutes. Took another 10+ to get a menu and another 10+ to order. As I sat there, more people were waiting for tables and the dirty empty tables started piling up around me. Six I could easily see, they would make people wait 10-15 minutes then quickly clean a table and seat a couple. Had to wait for the sushi as well and it was ok. The ebi came on the platter I ordered and it was some of the oldest, driest, most rubbery ebi I have ever had. The other sashimi was fine. No Nigiri has wasabi between rice and fish, which was strange. I typically add more, there was none here. The Unagi i ordered on the side was incredibly small and zero bbq eel smoke flavor nor sweet eel sauce, but edible. The soft shell crab roll never showed up. I mistakenly assumed they were serving lightest to heaviest flavors so waited, as the waiter and I had discussed whether I wanted the medium or large portion, so it was on the order. It never came. The lemongrass drink reminded me of industrial floor cleaner, but was refreshing and good. I really enjoyed that the best of the whole meal.
Visited around 21 o’clock, only a couple of customers. Ordered Sushi set and Zaru Soba (Japanese cold noodle). Quality was beyond my expectations. Every Sushi was great but what I really moved was Zaru soba. It was really good quality. I recommend this restaurant as one of Japanese.
One cool thing about this location is that they literally got a huge boat inside with tables on it. That was fun, and other normal seats were okay too. Food wise, I’d say it’s not like the best, but it’s decent enough to enjoy if you crave some Japanese food.
The food is good and fresh as well. Restaurant ventilation system is good and comfort seat as well. Is a good place for gathering with friends and family. The hygiene of the restaurant is clean. For those who want can drink the beer and you should try the motcha beer as well
