First meal of the day after arriving in Ho Chi Minh — we tried Pho. The taste was very good, the price was reasonable, and the staff were very friendly. Ted was especially helpful. There was one dish we didn’t know how to eat, and he kindly showed us how. Really appreciated the service.

About This Place
Aiii Restaurant draws a steady stream of international visitors to its two-floor dining room on Lý Tự Trọng, earning a 4.9-star rating across more than 6,000 Google reviews—a figure that places it among the most reviewed Vietnamese restaurants in the city. The draw is straightforward: authentic Vietnamese cooking at honest prices, served by a staff that treats explaining the food as part of the job.
Named team members—Loc, James, Ted, Nah—circulate the floor, demonstrating how to assemble dishes with rice paper, teaching diners a phrase or two of Vietnamese, and steering guests through the menu with genuine patience. It is the kind of attentiveness that turns a lunch stop into a memory.
The kitchen anchors its menu in Vietnamese staples. Banh xeo, the crispy rice-flour pancake, arrives split and ready to be bundled into lettuce leaves—a ritual the staff walk first-timers through without fuss. The fried spring rolls draw consistent praise, whether filled with shrimp or the vegetable-and-tofu version. Pho, stir-fried beef in black pepper sauce, minced beef in bamboo, morning glory with garlic—the range covers the breadth of southern Vietnamese home cooking rather than a tourist-facing shortlist.
Vegetarians are specifically catered to: tofu-filled rolls and plant-based takes on several dishes make it a practical choice for mixed groups. Prices hold firmly in affordable territory, the dining room stays clean and well-lit across both floors, and turnover is brisk enough that tables fill faster than they empty during the lunch rush.
For visitors eating Vietnamese food for the first time, few places in central Ho Chi Minh City offer the same combination of quality, accessibility, and staff who treat the meal as an education rather than a transaction.
Reviews
Amazing food with special dishes and Loc thought us how to say a few words in Vietnamese 🫶🏻😍🥰 We ate fried rice, but I would highly recommend FRIED VEGGIE SPRING ROLLS. Also we got some small phos with our Fried rice And you could sense some Asian aroma - very different than the European phos :))) (And we live in Prague with a lot of Vietnamese places). The only thing that I would like more is seeing some locals eating here, but the food and experience overall great🙏🏻

They are friendly and attentive, taking the time to show the non locals how best to enjoy the amazing food. Our server was very knowledgeable and was very happy to empart his knowledge on us. What a wonderful experience. We got the chicken pancake, shrimp spring rolls, morning glory vegetables and the sweet and sour chicken. Everything was delicious.
