Ottimo House Trattoria - Italian restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Excellent experience at Ottimo Trattoria, located inside the Lotte Hotel Saigon. I went for the set lunch and was thoroughly impressed across the board. It opens with bread served alongside a delicious chicken liver pâté a simple but well-crafted crostino, full-flavoured and nicely balanced, the kind of start that immediately reveals the kitchen’s attention to detail. The baked goods deserve a special mention: fresh, fragrant and clearly made with real skill. For the main I chose the cotoletta, beautifully done, crisp at just the right point and a generous portion. A traditional dish prepared with care and a confident hand. The meal ended on a high note with the dessert: a refined tart topped with caramelised banana, a smooth quenelle of cream and a touch of lime zest, finished with a delicate crunchy crumble. Elegant, well balanced and beautifully presented a perfect close to the meal. A special mention goes to Chef Marco, who personally made sure the whole lunch went perfectly, a warm, attentive touch that made the experience even more memorable. Excellent service too, all set within the beautiful surroundings of the elegant Lotte Hotel. Quality and atmosphere make Ottimo Trattoria a place I recommend without reservation. I’ll definitely be back. Five well-deserved stars!

Had a Birthday lunch at Ottimo House today with my friends, wonderful atmosphere and professional staff especially Chef Cuong and Mister Alvin. I loved every single dish, but the mashed potato and French butter was exceptional.

The complimentary bread can make you stuffed. The bread was delicious. Staff were also accomodating to give me butter and reheat the bread after some timeS See my uploaded photos and videos. This is a high star for them. We ordered quattro formagi, rib eye steak, wagyu themed pasta, and smoked tuna for appetizer. I had tiger beer draft which was very good and my parents had pepsi max. You can see in the restaurant how they prepare pizza and you’ll know its gonna be good. We went in for a dinner. My suggestions are these: to have a dinner course menu, and to add selections on food menu, staff were accomodating and they were well versed in english. Next time i visit HCMC, i will be back here for the buffet “the canvas” and for this restaurant.

Everything was great! The food was delicious and the service here was excellent. The staffs were very warm, especially the woman manager - she is just so attentive. What a memorable evening! They also gifted me a birthday cake celebrating my day 🥰

It featured fresh figs, apple, and greens, and the dressing was absolutely delicious—a great start to the meal. • Truffle Pizza: The truffle and mushroom pizza is a must-try! The crust was perfectly baked, and the intense truffle aroma, mushrooms, and melted cheese combined perfectly. • Pasta: The wide rigatoni pasta was coated in a rich ragu sauce. The sauce clung nicely to the tubes, topped with plenty of Parmesan cheese. It had a firm texture and a classic, comforting flavor. • Dessert: Tiramisu was the perfect ending. The cream was smooth, the cocoa powder was perfectly balanced between bitter and sweet, and the flavor was delicate and satisfying. Summary: This Italian restaurant is highly recommended, suitable for dates, business meals, or special celebrations.
